Ingredients

2 lbs carrots, sliced 1/4-inch thick
3 stalks celery & leaves, finely diced
1 small onion, finely minced
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
3/4 cup dry vermouth
Preparation
