Red Cabbage With Apple And Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, diced
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium apple, peeled and chopped
    1 head red cabbage, chopped
    1 cup water
    1/4 cup white wine vinegar
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    In Dutch oven, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp.
    Using a slotted spoon, remove to paper towels to drain.
    In drippings, saute onion and apple until tender.
    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce ehat; cover and simmer fo r30 minutes or until tender.
    Stir in reserved bacon.
