Guava Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting - cooking recipe

For the cake
1 cup flour
1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp butter
2 eggs
1 cup guava puree
1 teaspoon vanilla
For the frosting
4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8\" springform pan with butter.
Whip butter and sugar.
Add eggs, vanilla, and guava puree, mixing well after each addition.
Add dry ingredients and mix.
Pour batter in pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
To make frosting: whip all ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
