Codfish Cakes With Green Onions & Dill - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb fresh cod fish fillets or 1 lb frozen cod fish fillet, thawed and drained
    2 cups fresh breadcrumbs, course
    1/4 cup green onion, chopped
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon dill weed
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
Preparation
    flake cod fillets apart with fork or mallet.
    in medium bowl stir together flaked cod and remaining ingredients \"except\" butter. form into 6 patties.
    melt butter in skillet until sizzling, place 3 patties in skillet, cook over med-high heat until golden brown, turn and continue cooking until browned and fish flakes with fork.
    repeat with remaining patties.
