Lexington-Style Grilled Chicken - cooking recipe

2 cups cider vinegar
1/4 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons dry crushed red pepper
4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper
5 lbs chicken thighs, skinless bone-in
Preparation

Stir together first 6 ingredients until blended.
Divide vinegar mixture and chicken between 2 large zip-top plastic freezer bags, and seal bags. Chill 2 to 8 hours, turning bags occasionally.
Preheat grill to 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 (medium-high) heat. Remove chicken from marinade, discarding marinade.
Grill chicken, covered with grill lid, 35 to 40 minutes or until done, turning occasionally. ** I turn off the two center burners for the last 15 mins or so.
