Strawberry Ice Cream Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups strawberries (fresh or frozen)
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 teaspoon almond extract
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan.
    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; let boil for 5-10 minutes, or until thickened.
    Remove from heat and stir in extract.
    Puree in blender and strain out seeds, if desired.
