Slow Cooker Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    3 lbs sirloin steaks, cut into strips
    1 tablespoon minced garlic (5 to 6 cloves)
    1 -2 medium onion
    1/2 cup soy sauce
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    3 green bell peppers, cut into strips
    1/4 cup cold water
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
Preparation
    heat oil in large skillet over medium-low heat. Brown steak strips; sprinkle with garlic.
    Transfer meat and pan juices to slow coker. Add onion, soy sauce, sugar, salt, ginger and black pepper; mix well. Cover; cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until meat is tender.
    In final hour of cooking, add bell pepper strips. Before serving, mix together water and cornstarch; stir into slow cooker. Cook on HIGH 10 minutes or until thickened. Serve over hot rice.
