German Macaroni Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
    5 slices bacon
    1/2 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons flour
    1/3 cup vinegar
    7 ounces elbow macaroni
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup chopped green onion
    1/2 cup chopped celery
Preparation
    Drain mushrooms reserving liquid.
    Add water to make 1 cup.
    In 3-quart saucepan fry bacon until crisp.
    Drain and reserve drippings.
    Crumble bacon and set aside.
    Combine sugar flour salt and 1/8 tsp pepper.
    Blend into drippings in saucepan.
    Combine vinegar and reserved 1 cup of liquid.
    Add to flour mixture and cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
    Cook macaroni and toss with dressing and other ingredients.
