Savory Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups uncooked rice
    2 cans cream of chicken soup
    1 can water
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
    2 cans mushrooms (6oz each) (optional)
    1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in a 2-quart casserole (Ungreased).
    Cover and bake 1 hour at 325.
