Jamaican Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    1/2 medium yellow onion, chopped
    4 garlic cloves, minced
    2 cups long grain brown rice
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon ginger
    1 cup water
    1 cup chicken stock
    1 (15 ounce) can coconut milk
    1 (15 ounce) can black beans
    2 teaspoons thyme
    1 habanero pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil until soft. Add garlic and saute 1 minute more.
    Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes or until rice is cooked through.
