Herbal Ginger Brew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    syrup
    1/2 cup peeled sliced ginger
    1 cup water
    1/4 cup pure maple syrup
    1 cup carbonated water
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    grated lemon, rind of
Preparation
    for syrup combine water and ginger in saucepan, simmer for 30 minutes.
    cool slightly and strain.
    add maple syrup, stir to mix.
    stir 2 tbsp of syrup into carbonated water, add lemon juice and peel.
