Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb beef stew meat
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
    1 (1 ounce) package onion soup mix
    1 1/4 cups water
    4 potatoes, cubed
    2 carrots, diced
    1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil in skillet. Transfer to a 2 quart casserole.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
    Bake for 2-1/2 hours at 350.
