Reindeer Stroganoff (Renskavspanna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 cups chanterelle mushrooms
    2 medium onions, minced
    5 juniper berries, crushed
    butter, as needed for frying
    1 2/3 cups heavy cream
    1 lb reindeer roast, thinly sliced
    salt
    white pepper
    2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Preparation
    Brown the chanterelle mushrooms and onion with the juniper berries in butter.
    Add the cream, and cook until reduced by half. Set aside.
    In another skillet, brown the sliced reindeer in more butter. Work in batches if needed, so the meat browns, not steams.
    Pour the sauce over the browned meat, and let simmer for a few minutes.
    Season to taste with salt and white pepper.
    Sprinkle with parsley.
