Cranberry Pudding With Hot Butter Sauce - cooking recipe

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups halved cranberries
3 3 tablespoons rum or 3 tablespoons vanilla
Hot Butter Sauce
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 cup whipping cream
Preparation

Cream butter,sugar and eggs.
Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
Add nuts and cranberries.
Bake cake in moderate oven (about 350) in a 9x13 inch pan for about 30 minutes or until it springs back when touched.
Serve small pieces with hot butter sauce.
Hot Butter Sauce: Combine ingredients and bring to a boil over moderate heat,stirring constantly.
Let bubble one minute.
Add cream (not whipped).
Reheat but do not boil.
Add flavoring.
