Au Gratin Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons flour
    1 cup milk
    3 cups frozen peas, thawed
    1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
    2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Preparation
    Melt butter in a skillet.
    Add onion and saute until tender.
    Sprinkle with flour and stir until combined.
    Add cold milk and stir until mixture thickens. You may need to add more milk or flour to achieve desired consistency.
    Place peas in a lightly greased baking dish.
    Pour milk mixture over peas.
    Sprinkle with bread crumbs and cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 F. for 35 minutes.
