Ginger Baked Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups chopped onions
2 -3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh ginger
3 -4 garlic cloves, minced
4 (15 ounce) cans great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup light molasses
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
2 bay leaves
pepper
1/2 cup coarsely ground gingersnap crumbs
Preparation

Combine all ingredients except pepper and gingersnap crumbs in slow cooker. Season to taste with pepper.
Cover and cook on low until thickened to desired consistency, about 6 hours, mixing in gingersnap crumbs during last hour.
Discard bay leaves before serving.
