Ingredients

3 lbs hamburger
2 medium onions, chopped
salt and pepper
1/2 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 (10 ounce) can tomato soup
1 (10 ounce) can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/8 cup salad oil
8 hamburger buns
Preparation

Brown hamburger and onions and season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain. While hamburger is hot, add remaining ingredients except buns. Mix well and refrigerate for 4-6 hours. Remove from refrigerator about 1 hour before using. Spread on bun halves and broil until cheese melts.
