Tomato Sauce With Heavy Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 tablespoons butter
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    3 tablespoons finely chopped onions
    3 tablespoons finely chopped carrots
    3 tablespoons finely chopped celery
    2 1/2 cups prepared canned tomatoes
    salt
    pepper
    1/2 cup heavy cream, warmed
Preparation
    Saute vegetables in oil and butter till soft and lightly golden.
    Add tomatoes. Season lightly.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    At serving time, stir in cream, and simmer 1 minute.
