Farmer Brownies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup hot water
3/4 cup butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix cocoa with hot water and stir in butter. Allow to cool.
Sift dry ingredients together and stir into cocoa mixture.
Beat in buttermilk, then vanilla. Add nuts and stir to mix well.
Spread on greased 10\" x 15\" jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350 degrees until done. (about 25 minutes in my oven).
May frost with your favorite chocolate frosting. I like to do this while the brownies are still warm.
