Sweet Soy-Garlic Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup water
    3 medium garlic cloves, minced or pressed through a garlic press (about 1 tablespoon)
    1 tablespoon rice vinegar
    1 teaspoon thai chili-garlic sauce, such as sriracha
Preparation
    1.Simmer all of the ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium heat until syrupy, about 5 minutes. Let cool to room temperature before serving. (The sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 1 day.).
