Herbed Brown Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1 (12 ounce) package long grain brown rice
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    3 cups chicken broth
    1 teaspoon dried basil
    1 teaspoon dried parsley
    1 teaspoon dried chives
    3/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat oil in a 3-quart, ovenproof, saucepan over medium heat. Add onion & saute, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Add the rice; cook, stirring for 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Cover & transfer to the oven. Bake 40 minutes or until rice is tender.
