Italian Tailgate Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    MEAT PATTIES
    1 lb ground beef
    1 lb hot pork sausage (such as Jimmy Dean brand)
    1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
    1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1 tablespoon italian seasoning
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 tablespoon fennel seed
    salt and pepper
    SAUCE
    1 (27 1/2 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (or 2 jars if you want extra sauce)
    1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
    1 tablespoon italian seasoning
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
Preparation
    Combine meat mixture and seasonings.
    Make into 10-12 thin patties and brown in frying pan until done.
    Combine sauce ingredients in crock pot.
    Add browned patties and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
    Serve patties on buns with or without mozzarella or provolone cheese.
