Simple Baking Powder Drop Biscuits - cooking recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening (if you don't have shortening margarine or butter will work)
1 cup milk

1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450,.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl, cut in shortening (or substitute) until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Make a well; add milk all at once and stir quickly with fork just until dough follows fork around bowl and all ingredients are combined.
Grease baking sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoons or teaspoons onto baking sheet.
Optional: Sprinkle tops of biscuits with parmesan and garlic powder or garlic salt before baking.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
