Toasty Cheese Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

8 slices bread
margarine
1/2 lb ground beef
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 tablespoons celery, chopped
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sharp American cheese, shredded
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1/8 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Toast bread; butter both sides.
Cook and stir meat, onion, celery, prepared mustard and 1/2 teasooon salt until meat is brown and onion is tender.
Alternate layers of toast, meat mixture and cheese in greased baking pan.
Mix remaining ingredients; pour over layers in pan.
Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes.
Add paprika on top if you desire.
