Basil Vinaigrette Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 cup red wine vinegar
    2 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1/2 cup fresh basil leaf
    2 shallots
    2 garlic cloves
    1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    3/4 cup vegetable oil
Preparation
    In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients except the oil, and blend until smooth.
    With the machine running, add the oil in a slow steady stream until incorporated.
