Grits Souffle' - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups grits
    8 cups water
    8 ounces gouda cheese
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    8 tablespoons butter
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    4 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    cook grits in salted water.
    when cooked remove from heat, add cheese, butter, garlic and egg yolks.
    stir until cheese and butter have melted.
    fold in egg whites.
    put in greased casserole. (I use an 8x8).
    Bake @ 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
