Portuguese Marinated Beef (Caciola) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs stewing beef, cut into 1 inch cubes
    1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
    1 medium onion, sliced thin
    3 garlic cloves, crushed
    2 bay leaves
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 cups dry red wine
    1 teaspoon paprika
    1/4 teaspoon allspice
    salt & freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients in a plastic freezer bag and marinate overnight.
    Cook, over low heat, in a large skillet, Dutch oven, or crock pot until meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours or 5 hours, on low, for crock pot.
    Shred meat and serve on buns, or leave pieces whole and serve with boiled potatoes and a vegetable.
