Applesauce Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 - 1/2 cup reduced-calorie maple syrup (any brand)
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce (homemade is best)
    salt (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all in saucepan, using no more then 1/16 tsp of salt. (may leave out).
    Stir frequently as it simmers until heated.
