Phyllis Cake With Phyllis Icing (An Awesome Pound Cake!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups sugar
    1 cup butter, real butter
    1/2 cup shortening, butter flavored
    6 large eggs
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon table salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup whole milk
    For the Icing
    1/2 cup butter, real butter
    2 cups powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    3 1/2 tablespoons whole milk
Preparation
    Cream together sugar, butter and shortening (CRISCO) until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add flour and salt mixture alternating with milk and vanilla.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325.
    DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN BEFORE PUTTING THE CAKE IN!
    ICING:
    Cream the butter until fluffy.
    Add sugar alternating with the milk and vanilla until it is spreading consistency.
