Ida'S Gooseberry Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

Dumplings
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 cup milk
Gooseberry
2 (16 ounce) cans gooseberries, in syrup
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
whipped cream
Preparation

Dumplings:
Put water on to boil.
Mix your ingredients gently, just until mixed.
Drop by scant tablespoonful into boiling water.
Cover and cook for approximately 15 minutes.
Remove from water and either set aside, or put into the gooseberry pool if it is ready.
Gooseberries:
Drain gooseberries, reserving the juice.
Mix ingredients into a skillet and heat over medium heat until thick.
Add the dumplings.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
Enjoy.
