Grandma'S Persimmon Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    SYRUP
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup water
    4 tablespoons butter
    BATTER
    1/4 cup butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 cup milk
    1 cup persimmon pulp
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 cup nuts (optional)
Preparation
    For the syrup, put in baking pan and boil l minute.
    Mix all batter ingredients together. Pour batter over syrup in baking pan and bake for 30 minutes in 350 degree oven. Serve with whipped cream.
