Broken Noodle With Tomato Sauce And Ricotta - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 cups marinara sauce (home-made or store-bought)
    1 (9 ounce) package pappardelle pasta (wide pasta)
    coarse salt, to taste
    ground pepper, to taste
    1/2 cup part-skim ricotta cheese
    1/2 cup basil leaves (fresh, torn)
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring sauce and 2 cups of water to a boil; reduce to a simmer. Add noodles, and simmer, stirring frequently, until tender, 6-8 minutes. Season with salt. Serve with a dollop of ricotta, basil, salt and pepper.
