Budget Macaroni And Cheese - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1 ounce) package elbow macaroni
    3 tablespoons butter
    3 tablespoons flour
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 dash pepper
    1 cup milk
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook the macaroni according to the package directions.
    Drain and set aside, keeping warm.
    In a saucepan over medium low heat, melt butter.
    Add flour, salt and pepper; stir to make a smooth paste.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
    Heat and stir until thickened.
    Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted.
    pour over macaroni and mix well.
    Makes 4 servings.
