Jolean'S Crock Pot Old World Sauerkraut Supper - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon
3 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 small granny smith apples, cored, peeled and cubed
1 lb smoked sausage (Eckrich Skinless)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon flour
2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans Bavarian-style sweet sauerkraut (1 can drained, but keep the liquid in the 2nd can)
1/2 cup water
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp. Drain (reserving drippings in pan) and break into small pieces. Add flour to the bacon drippings and blend well until slightly golden brown.
Stir in sauerkraut (and liquid from 1 can). Mix well and saute for 5 minutes.
Place sauerkraut mixture, crumbled bacon and sausage pieces in crock pot.
Add all other ingredients. Mix together thoroughly.
Cover and cook on Low 7 to 9 hours.
Salt & pepper to taste, but you may not need it!
