CAKE
2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 eggs, unbeaten
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup milk
TOPPING
1/4 cup margarine
8 tablespoons flour
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation

CAKE: Sift all dry ingredients and cut in shortening with 2 knives. Add eggs and milk, stir until smooth. Spread in 2 9x1 1/2 inch layer cakepans; greased.
TOPPING: Mix all ingredients and blend with a fork. Spread over batter in pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
