Pinky'S Apple Pasties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
6 medium granny smith apples (green cooking apples )
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    8 cloves
    2 tablespoons butter
3 sheets ready rolled puff pastry
    1 egg white
    2 tablespoons sugar, for glazing
Preparation
Peel and core Apples then chop into small pieces and place with butter in saucepan, add 1 and a half cups sugar then cloves.
Heat slowly and gently with lid on so the apples and sugar dont burn or brown. Stir regularly.
The apples should be just tender, then leave aside to cool and remove and discard cloves.
When apple mix is cool, preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius, cut sheets of pastry into quarters, place a portion of apple mix in middle and make into pastie shapes or triangles if your in a hurry like I do.
Place apple pasties onto sprayed baking tray.
Brush over with egg white and sprinkle with sugar.
Place in oven and cook until golden brown.
Serve warm with custard or ice cream, or there even great cold as a travelling snack or for picnics.
