South African Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium cucumbers, peeled and seeded
    1 teaspoon sea salt
    1 tablespoon cider vinegar
    1 garlic clove, finely minced
    1 teaspoon jalapeno pepper, finely minced
Preparation
    Grate the cucumbers on the large holes of a hand grater into a salad bowl.
    Sprinkle them with the salt and let them stand for 2 hours.
    Drain them in a colander, pressing out the liquid.
    Add the vinegar, garlic, and jalapeno pepper and mix well.
    Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour.
