Slop - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1/4 cup butter
    2 (10 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 lb ground beef
    5 potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/2-inch
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Slice onions and saute in butter.
    Add potatoes after 5 minutes.
    Saute potatoes until fork tender.
    Brown the ground beef in separate pan and drain drippings.
    Fold in mushroom soup and ground beef into potato mixture gently.
    Heat and simmer 5 - 7 minutes.
    Season to taste.
