Butter Pecan Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup evaporated milk
    1 tablespoon butter
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    heat sugar in a heavy pan over low heat, stir until dissolved and carmelized or golden.
    Whisk in salt and milk, stir until smooth.
    Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and pecans --
    Serve warm over ice cream etc.
