Butter Rum Glazed Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Cake
    1/3 cup butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 cup applesauce
    1 apple, cored, peeled and chopped
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    Butter Rum Glaze
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon rum extract
    3 -4 teaspoons half-and-half
Preparation
    Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes until butter begins to brown. Immediately remove from heat and stir in sugar, applesauce, apple and vanilla. Set aside.
    Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl and stir in applesauce mixture. Pour into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Pour warm rum glaze over hot cake. Let cake cool for 30 minutes and serve warm.
