Italian Spaghetti Sauce By Audrey M - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage
    1/4 lb ground beef
    1/2 cup chopped onion
    1 clove minced garlic
    1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut up tomatoes
    1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
    1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
    1/2 cup chopped green pepper
    2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
    1 bay leaf
    1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning, crushed
    1/8 teaspoon black pepper
    1 dash salt
    hot cooked pasta
Preparation
    In a skillet cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic until meat is brown.
    Drain off fat.
    In a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients and stir in cooked meat mixture.
    Place in 4 quart crock pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
    Discard bay leaf before serving.
    Serve over your favorite pasta.
