Spicy Sausage Alfredo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb penne rigate
    1 lb Italian sausage (link or bulk)
    16 ounces alfredo sauce
    1/4 cup red hot pepper sauce (or to taste )
    2 -3 bell peppers (any color or all three)
    1/2 red onion
    1 tablespoon canola oil or 1 tablespoon olive oil
    shredded parmesan cheese
Preparation
    heat oil in large skillet; add sausage cook on med high.
    while sausage is cooking, start pasta water
    chop onions and peppers into 1/4 inch slices set aside.
    when sausage is browned and thoroughly cooked, add fresh peppers and onions; cook just until veggies are hot; turn skillet down low.
    when pasta water is done add pasta cook until al dente.
    drain pasta water; reserve 1 cup of the water to thin sauce.
    in medium saucepan, heat 1 jar of alfredo sauce to a low simmer while stirring occasionally.
    add 1/4 cup Red Hot sauce alredo; stir until mixed.
    pour pasta into skillet with sausage pepper mix.
    pour alfredo sauce mixture into the skillet and toss togther.
    add pasta water to thin sauce (if preferred).garnish with parmesan and serve.
