Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 -14 slices stale bread, cut into large cubes
    1/4 cup melted butter or 1/4 cup margarine
    1/2 cup raisins
    5 eggs (which I prefer to use) or 5 Egg Beaters egg substitute (which I prefer to use)
    4 cups warm half-and-half or 4 cups whole milk
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3/4 cup white sugar (scant)
Preparation
    1.\tPre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2.\tMix together all ingredients except for the bread and raisins (remember to temper the eggs into the warm milk so that they do not scramble).
    3.\tIn a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, raisins, and wet ingredients and let sit for 15 minutes.
    4.\tBake in a water bath for approx 40 minutes or until a inserted knife or toothpick comes out clean.
