Petticoat Tails - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 ounces plain flour
    3 ounces caster sugar
    6 ounces butter
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar in a bowl, rub in butter.
    Knead well to form a smooth paste.
    Divide into two equal parts, shape and flatten into 2 x 7\" rounds, approximately 1/2 \" thick.
    Mark top into portions, decorate edges and prick with a fork.
    Place on a greased baking tray.
    Bake for 30 mins at 160c, 325F Gas mark 3 or until pale and golden.
