Steak San Marco - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs chuck steaks, 1 inch thick, cut into serving pieces
    1 (1 ounce) envelope onion soup mix (we use Lipton)
    1 (28 ounce) can peeled Italian tomatoes
    1 teaspoon oregano
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
    pepper
    garlic powder
Preparation
    In a large skillet, arrange meat; cover with onion soup mix and tomatoes (cut tomatoes into pieces).
    Sprinkle with oregano, garlic powder, pepper, oil and vinegar.
    Bring to a simmer; cover and cook 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
