Presidential Cherry Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling (Comstock's More Fruit is very nice.)
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 cup rolled oats (not instant)
    3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/3 cup butter, softened
Preparation
    Spray a square pan (8x8) with non-stick spray and empty the can of cherries into it.
    In a small bowl, mix the remaining ingredients thoroughly. Sprinkle over cherries. (There seems to be a lot, but use it all. It shrinks while cooking.).
    Bake 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
