Pomodoro And Basilico Sauce With Gnocchi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 small onion, finely chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    15 basil leaves, finely shredded or 2 teaspoons dried basil
    16 ounces plum tomatoes, diced
    salt and pepper
    2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
    1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
    16 ounces gnocchi (Italian potato noodles)
Preparation
    Heat olive oil in a saucepan and cook the onion, garlic, and mushrooms until soft.
    Add the diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
    Add the basil, salt and pepper.
    Cook the Gnocchi as directed on package. Drain well. Toss the Gnocchi with the sauce and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese and Mozzarella cheese.
    Put under the broiler to melt the cheese. Enjoy!
