Crock Pot Lentil Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lbs beef tips
    1/4 cup flour
    1 lb lentils, picked over & rinsed
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 carrots, peeled & diced
    2 celery hearts, finely chopped
    1 red bell pepper, chopped
    1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, with juice
    3 tablespoons tomato paste
    6 -7 cups chicken broth, low sodium
    1 tablespoon thyme
    1 tablespoon oregano
    1 teaspoon cumin
    1 teaspoon curry
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1 dash cayenne
Preparation
    Combine beef tips with flour in the crock pot.
    Add remaining ingredients & mix together.
    Cook on High for 6 hours.
    **To change it to a thicker consistency, which I prefer, take 4-6 cups without the meat (2 cups at a time) and blend in a food processor or with a hand blender.
    Cook on low for an additional hour.
