Lenten Banana Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 cups mashed bananas
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening thoroughly.
Add bananas and lemon juice, mixing well.
Sift flour, baking soda and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, stirring just until all flour is moistened.
Spread in well greased 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350F for 60 minutes.
