Breadfruit Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 cup ripe breadfruit, uncooked and mashed
    2 tablespoons shortening
    1 cup flour
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    3 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 cup sugar
    oil (for frying)
Preparation
    Beat the egg in a bowl and add uncooked breadfruit pulp and shortening.
    Mix well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add to the egg/pulp/shortening mixture.
    Mix well.
    Preheat your frying oil to 370\u00b0F.
    Drop by spoonfuls into oil and fry until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Shake in a bag with sugar to coat outside.
